Jessica Taylor is an artist based in South West Sydney. She focuses mainly on landscape painting and drawing. She loves to work with oil paint on canvas and graphite on paper. Jessica is fascinated by the land, roads and laneways - the spaces between here and there.

Jessica studied at National Art School Sydney from 2009-2011. She majored in painting. Jessica is an emerging artist who is dedicated to her craft, stretching her own canvases and searching for special paper to work with.

Jessica’s fascination with roads began with long car rides with her family on driving holidays, she would sit in the backseat and draw the road through the windscreens.

Later as an adult she would drive regularly back and forth late at night to the inner city from the south west of Sydney, and this inspired her series of night paintings.

Jessica has a deep interest in folklore from around the world, and she attempts to capture the world as if seen through the eyes of a spirit being.
